Man from benefit dance shot to death in Cordova
CEBU, Philippines – A 32-year-old man was shot dead by three unidentified assailants in barangay Cogon, Cordova town last Sunday dawn.
The victim was identified as Tarcelo Dinoy, single, a resident of the said place.
Initial investigation of the Cordova Police revealed that Dinoy was about to go home after attending a benefit dance in the said area for their upcoming fiesta celebration.
But three men stopped him from walking any further, one fired at him using an undetermined caliber of firearm. The victim was hit in his nape, the bullet exited through his forehead.
The perpetrators then fled. Passersby rushed the victim to the nearest hospital but the municipal health officer of the town’s district hospital pronounced the victim dead on arrival because of the fatal wounds he sustained.
