The French Baker Goes Brasserie

-

CEBU, Philippines - An all-new menu debuts at The French Baker, with dishes full of the cozy, home-style feel of a Parisian brasserie. The French Baker takes its themes of freshness and affordability to another level – and now, customers can linger over the good eats, brand-name coffees, and dessert sensations.

In a bid to refresh the restaurant/bakery’s image, CEO and President Johnlu G. Koa has reached into the memories of his peripatetic journeys and come up with a new interpretation of that iconic French hangout, the brasserie. A term that denotes a café/restaurant with a relaxed image and reasonably priced meals, the best hallmark of a brasserie lies in its simple food, which reaches top-quality status with only the freshest ingredients.

Now, The French Baker combines its motto of “The Freshness Baker” with the reputation of Parisian brasseries to come up with an all-new menu in an all-new setting: new branches and renovated locations done up in warm, woodsy motifs. The chairs encourage lounging and relaxation, as do the plush booths lined in leather and wood. Quirky murals on the walls feature exterior scenes of the typical brasserie, with the brand logo in pride of place.

Patrons can make their meal selections from the new menu – and they can watch the staff as they make the food a la minute, or as soon as the order has been made.

If you feel like having a light meal, treat yourself with Chicken Salad Croissant – a full-sized croissant, fresh from the ovens, split in half and stuffed with fresh vegetables and chicken salad, then served with crispy potato chips.

Heartier eaters will find new flavors and dishes to taste, too. Try the Beef Burgundy, the French Baker’s version of the hearty Boeuf Bourgignon, choice beef stewed in rich Burgundy wine, garnished with shiitake mushrooms. Pork fans will love the piquant, tangy flavor of Pork Chop au Poivre, superbly cooked pork chops in a peppercorn sauce. And pasta fans can order the new Chicken Parmigiana Spaghetti, with its sauce of tomatoes and herbs topped with Parmesan cheese and a breaded chicken cutlet.

If you’re a fan of such French Baker classics such as Soup in a Bread Bowl, Chicken a la King, and their classic Spicy Seafood Pasta, fret not – they’re still yours for the ordering!

Pair any of the dishes old and new with the French Baker’s trademark breads and baked goods, always baked fresh every day.

The French Baker's 37 branches nationwide, including SM Marikina, SM Megamall, SM North EDSA Annex, Robinson's Ermita, and SM City Cebu.
