Ciara Sotto is latest to sign with ALLTV

STAR CIRCUIT - Ricky L. Calderon - The Freeman

Accomplished theater, television and movie actress Ciara Sotto has joined the country’s new television network, ALLTV, the premiere broadcast TV station of the Advanced Media Broadcast System (AMBS).

Ciara – who is also a singer, TV host, dancer, and fitness enthusiast – signed a contract with ALLTV on September 8, at Mella Hotel in Las Piñas City with AMBS President Maribeth Tolentino, Chief Financial Officer Maryknoll Tolentino, and general counsel Atty. TJ Mendoza.

Ciara joins popular TV host, comedian, and businessman Willie Revillame; showbiz couple Toni Gonzaga and Paul Soriano; and broadcaster Anthony Taberna, who are now all part of ALLTV.

ALLTV is under Prime Assets Ventures, Inc. led by businessman Manuel Paolo Villar.

AMBS President Maribeth Tolentino officially welcomed Ciara to the ALLTV family during the contract signing last Thursday.

“We want ALLTV to cater to all, and make everyone feel that they are part of our growing family. We are working on a variety of programs that appeal to all, especially the masses,” Tolentino said.

“We are focused on bringing exciting entertainment shows to our viewers, and I am sure Ciara can help us with that aspect. Handa tayong magpasaya for all sa ALLTV,” she added.

Ciara said she is happy to join the TV network. “I am honored to be considered as one of your talents, and I am very, very excited to work with all of you. God bless you and I promise I’d do my best, and I am very, very easy to work with,” said Ciara.

Ciara is the current president and founder of Philippine Pole and Aerial Sports Association (PPASA). She also founded the women’s community group, PRINSESA.

Despite her achievements, Ciara values her role as a mom to son Crixus the most. She is the youngest daughter of former Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III and Helen Gamboa, both popular actors and respected pillars in Philippine showbiz.

To boost its programming, ALLTV also signed a content license agreement with CNN Philippines, the most trusted news source in the country, for the airing of its flagship new program, “News Night”.

ALLTV is available on Channel 2 on Planet Cable and free TV, Channel 16 on digital, Channel 35 on Cignal TV and Sky Cable, and local cable providers nationwide.

Side A was founded in 1985 and boasts an impressive lineup of musicians who have been with the group since its humble beginnings at the Hyatt-Calesa Bar. The original roster includes brothers Rodel Gonzalez (lead vocals) and Naldy Gonzalez (keyboards and vocals), Mar Dizon (drums), Pido Lalimarmo (guitars and vocals), Joey Benin (bass), and Kelly Badon (lead guitars). Since hitting stardom in the ‘90s, the hitmakers bagged two Awit Awards and a triple platinum album.

Their legacy in the local scene continues as one of the most sought-after and innovative musical force in the industry. Today, the band is made up of newer musicians alongside founding member Naldy. Among the new generation members are Ned Esguerra (bass guitar), Yubs Esperat (lead vocals), and Lee Von Cailao (lead guitar).

Last year, the original members gathered in their virtual reunion concert. Following its success, the nostalgic performance will now grace a grander stage at Newport World Resorts. Catch the band perform their well-loved songs.
