Free-TV Premiere of Emmy-winner 'Lost' on Studio 23 this November

-
One plane crash. Forty-eight survivors. One mysterious, deserted island that may not even be that deserted. It's the biggest drama show to hit the American airwaves in years, and it's coming to Studio 23 this November, as the network airs the Emmy-winning series Lost starting today, November 7.

This network event is the first free-TV broadcast of Lost in the Philippines.

Matthew Fox, The Lord of the Rings' Dominic Monaghan, Alias' Terry O' Quinn, The English Patient's Naveen Andrews, Smallville and Young Americans' Ian Somerhalder, Roswell's Emilie de Ravin, Angel's Daniel Dae Kim, The Matrix's Harold Perrineau, Jr. and newcomers Evangeline Lilly, Josh Holloway, Yoon-Jin Kim, Maggie Grace, Malcolm David Kelley and Jorge Garcia make up the strong ensemble cast of this gripping action-adventure show that follows the stories of the survivors of Oceanic Air Flight 815.

Series creators J. J. Abrams and Damon Lindelof have created a multi-dimensional universe of backstories for their characters, which offer tantalizing clues that the castaways' stay on the island - and, indeed, their presence in Flight 815 - may not be pure coincidence.

But can they be trusted with each other? Amongst the survivors are a drug addict, a woman accused of murder, a troubled doctor, a former member of the Iraqi armed guard, and a con man. And the island itself carries its share of dangers, from collapsing caves to a mysterious monster lurking inside the thick forest foliage.

Stripped of everything, the survivors fight to live, forced to trust strangers inside a menacing jungle. But can this band of castaways band together to stay alive? Or will the secrets they keep - and the secrets the mysterious island keeps - be their undoing? Thanks to the show's gripping serial storylines, and the mesmerizing and surprising character details in each episode, Lost began its American run as not just a ratings hit, but also as a critical darling, praised by newspaper and magazine critics as a television triumph. Last September, Lost proved its dominance by grabbing one of TV's biggest prizes, the Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series, becoming one of only a handful of shows to win the Best Drama Emmy in its freshman year.

Lost also won Emmys for Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series, Outstanding Casting for a Drama Series, Outstanding for a Drama Series, Outstanding Music Composition for a Drama Series, Outstanding Single-Camera Picture Editing for a Drama Series, Outstanding Special Visual Effects for a Series, and was nominated in six other categories, including Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for Andrews and O' Quinn.

Make sure to tune in this Monday, November 7, as Studio 23 begins the first-ever free-TV Philippine run of the Emmy-winning series Lost.
