Celebrate your Valentine’s week at UP Fair 2015: Soundtrack Natin ’To!

 

 

QUEZON CITY, Philippines - It’s the time of the year again. Celebrate your Valentine’s week in UP Diliman with this year’s University of the Philippines Fair (UP Fair). UP Fair is the biggest annual music festival in the University of the Philippines Diliman. This week long event will be held at the UP Sunken Garden starting this Tuesday, February 10 until Valentine’s day, February 14. 

 

Catch popular OPM bands such as Parokya ni Edgar, Hale, Kamikazee, Urbandub, Itchyworms, Up Dharma Down, Cueshe, Gloc 9, South Border, Soapdish among many others perform live. Up and coming acts and homegrown UP musician will also play live during the program.

 

This 2015, UP Fair launches the event with the tagline, “Soundtrack Natin ‘To”, which highlights the main pillars of UP Fair: music and companionship. The theme celebrates the unique musical experience that only UP Fair can provide, not to mention being a tradition for students and alumni to attend and listen to their favorite bands.

 

UP Fair is organized by students from different organizations, spearheaded by the UP Diliman University Student Council (USC), in partnership with the UP Advertising Core (UP AdCore) as its promotions arm. Each year, UP Fair boasts a regular attendance of around 13,000 people per night.

 

Aside from its appreciation of Original Pinoy Music, UP Fair 2015 also aims to forward different socially-relevant campaigns which will be emphasized per night. These are Workers’ Rights, Higher Budget for Education, Freedom of Information, Gender Equality, and Magna Carta for Students.

 

Tickets are available online at TicketNet (tinyurl.com/upfairtickets) or at the UP Sunken Garden on the day itself. Tickets cost 140 pesos each.  UP students are given 20 pesos discount. Just present your valid UP ID. All proceeds from this year’s UP Fair will be given to the college dormers and athletes of the university.
