Acer shoots some hoops with NBA 2K14

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Global IT brand Acer recently tipped off its first slam-bang activity for the year via a tie-up with the popular basketball video game “NBA 2K14” and launched competitions with avid gamers and Acer notebook users at select SM malls such as SM City North Edsa, SM City Fairview and most recently, at SM City Clark’s Event Center.

Gaming fans as well as first-timers got to experience the extremely popular NBA 2K14 video game using the Acer Aspire V3-772G laptop, which has the capability of running high-octane action and exciting games, thanks to its high-performance, next-generation Intel processors.

Participants were ecstatic as they shot some hoops, ran fast on the break, and took it home with a slam in the games.

Acer also held a tournament for Acer notebook users, at the same time as the NBA 2K14 pro-gamers, where participants battled it out to reach the grand tournament finals and get a chance to win a brand-new Aspire V3-772G, Acer’s ultimate gaming laptop.

To add more excitement, the elimination games were projected on giant screens using Acer’s P5307WB projector so that even mall-goers can watch and join in the fun and cheer for their favorite gamers.

Outshoot, outplay is the order of the day as the finalists will meet again to duke it out among themselves for greater basketball videogame glory and claim the exciting Acer grand prize, which will serve as their greatest motivation.

But there could only be one ultimate gamer, the best-of-the-best, the top hoopster honcho, in Acer’s NBA 2K14 Tournament.
