i-PCV, Chinatrust tie up for Visa debit cards

-

Payment services firm i-Pay Commerce Ventures (i-PCV) has teamed up with Chinatrust (Philippines) Commercial Bank Corp., the local subsidiary of the largest and most awarded banking institution in Taiwan, for the issuance of a co-branded debit card called i-CASH Visa cards.

i-CASH is a payment solution designed by i-PCV for corporate clients for cash distribution and individuals who receive remittances from abroad.

i-CASH Visa cardholders can use ATMs nationwide without the need to open and maintain a local bank account, securely load remittances straight into the card, make easy purchases at Visa and BancNet-accredited shops and establishments, and pay bills online easily.

“Partnering with Chinatrust is a key step in achieving our strategic direction to reach local and international communities. By combining the i-CASH money management functionalities with Chinatrust, owning an i-CASH Visa card will bring convenience and a rewarding experience to the cardholder,” said Alejandro James Chiongbian, president of i-PCV.

Tony Robles, executive vice president and head of the Retail Banking Group of Chinatrust, said, “Today’s consumers are looking for a simple, affordable and secure facility to send and receive funds here and abroad, plus enjoy the convenience of online transactions for bills payment. The i-CASH co-branded card not only addresses these needs, it also revolutionizes the money transfer concept.”

A non-bank remittance company certified by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, i-PCV is the payment services subsidiary of publicly listed IT company IPVG Corp.

It is dedicated to delivering better, faster and more cost-effective payment processing services to various individual and corporate users in the Philippines and abroad.

These services include international remittances, processing of online credit card payments, issuance of co-branded debit cards, and loyalty programs.

The new i-CASH Visa debit card will provide cardholders more access to their funds through Chinatrust’s 23 branches and BancNet-supported ATMs nationwide.
