In love with Playa Calatagan

Love at first sight that was exactly what it was like when Marilou Mateo, Jessica Guevarra and Alain & Liza Alafriz first laid eyes on the entire spread of land that would become the residential resort town known as Playa Calatagan. Although they all came from diverse backgrounds and had different personalities and interests, when it came down to choosing a second home, they all agreed that Playa Calatagan was perfect for their needs.
Beach aficionados and businessmen Alain and Liza Alafriz stumbled on Playa Calatagan by accident as they were driving thru Batangas for the Christmas holidays. They didnt know anything about Playa but were so drawn they just had to learn more about it. Much like a suitor pursuing a beloved, the Alafrizes didnt waste time to familiarize themselves with the development and own a piece of Playa.
The concept of a master-planned residential and commercial seaside community and the beach lifestyle it posed excited them and made the area of Calatagan more enticing to the couple. Plus, the resort towns accessibility made the property all the more appealing. According to Alain, prior to their Playa purchase, they already had a property near the bay, but decided not to build a beach house on it because "Calatagan at that point in time did not offer any kind of excitement."
His wife, Liza, further said the active way of life Playa proposed was the lifestyle they craved. Now they can do their favorite pastimes at their own convenience. They can sun bathe, do water activities, party and lounge by the shoreline to their hearts content. "There was really nothing until Playa Calatagan came up with this idea. And we said, Wow! Finally more things to do in Calatagan! And just the things we love to do We like to dive, we like to swim, we like to do water sports, stay in nice hotels and all that," said Liza.
The couple regularly frequented Boracay and enjoyed the casual and entertainment-packed lifestyle it offered. The idea of owning a weekend sanctuary with the same amenities and activities as their beloved tourist destination was just too good to pass up. It was just the kind of hideaway that suited their way of life. "That kind of environment fits our lifestyle. It kills many many birds with one stone," said Alain Alafriz.
A complete family vacation retreat that had amenities and activities for everyone in her family was what Marilou Mateo, a top executive for a multinational company, was looking for when a real estate agent told her about Playa Calatagan. She always wanted to invest in the kind of property that had enough "magic" in it to entertain everyone in her family.
She took the entire family along to have a look at the beachside residential resort before she decided on a purchase. "I really made my family come during the ocular because I also wouldnt find it a valuable investment if its just me and my husband who likes it. Were such a close knit family we always go together, we always travel together Finally, they said, Yeah, okay, we like it." And true enough, the beach getaway with a twist was as "magical" as she could have ever imagined. Everyone in her family fell in love with the place and saw themselves spending their future weekends there.
The leisure community will have more than enough activities and features to satisfy the outgoing and adventurous personalities of her kids. On the other hand, the adjacent residential section will also provide the relaxed and peaceful atmosphere she and her husband needs to unwind. Playas dynamic line-up of activities will guarantee a new set of experiences each time. Each day at Playa has its own set of surprises and thrills.
Since each family members needs will be met at Playa Calatagan, Marilou knew that she would never have a problem planning vacations for the entire family. "I wouldnt have a hard time convincing them to come with us if we want to go on weekends," she said. "Thats why I am sure it is a good investment because my family can be there," Marilou added.
Socialite Jessica Guevarra fell in love with the place and the concept Playa Calatagan offered. "You have the best of both worlds: when you get bored you get out of the house, you go to the commercial area and of course, you have the privacy of your own home and you have the amenities which are available only to the lot owners," she said. This interesting mix, which is reminiscent of Boracay, is also the reason why Playa is the kind of destination people look forward to visiting every day.
"What caught my attention was not really the place but the concept which is really the next Boracay. The whole frontage of the beach is going to be commercialized full of five star hotels, spas, restaurants that are not found in Manila," Jessica said. Aside from this, Playa Calatagans fun-loving atmosphere is also quite addictive and leaves people craving for more. The place and everything it will offer will give residents and guests more and more reasons to go back.
People fall in love for different reasons. For Jessica Gueverra, Marilou Mateo and Alain and Liza Alafriz, theyre affection for Playa Calatagan, although borne out of different grounds, could only mean one thing: it is one property that is worth investing in.
Playa Calatagan offers a unique and vibrant kind of experience to resort town living. Filipinos are now given a choice and a chance to live out an exhilarating weekend getaway minus the hassle and the daunting costs.
