Made for Excellence

BUSINESS CHIC - Johnny Litton -

The Metrobank Foundation recently honored promising young artists through its pioneering art program, the Metrobank Art and Design Excellence (MADE) National Competition in painting, sculpture, architecture and interior design. Now on its 26th year, the highly anticipated awarding ceremony gathered a vibrant mix of artists, art patrons, society mavens, cultural advocates, business and government leaders and diplomats. They applauded the future frontrunners of the arts in the country as they took centerstage during the awarding ceremonies. An exhibit featuring the works of the talented artists was also unveiled with Albert Avellana of Avellana Art Gallery as the curator. Present in the event were Metrobank Group chairman doctor George Ty, Metrobank chairman doctor Antonio Abacan, Jr., Metrobank Foundation president Chito Sobrepeña and Federal Land president Alfred Ty who awarded this year’s winners with guests of honor ambassador of Italy, His Excellency Luca Fornari and ambassador of China, His Excellency Liu Jianchao. Congratulations to the winners and to the Metrobank Foundation for continually cultivating the future of the arts in the country!
