AUB PayMate partners with GrabPay
MANILA, Philippines — Asia United Bank has partnered with Grab Philippines to enable the acceptance of GrabPay QR code transactions in Starbucks stores in the Philippines using AUB PayMate.
AUB PayMate is a digital payment channel that allows merchants to accept QR payments from Chinese tourists. It partnered with GCash and now GrabPay this year, enabling merchant outlets in the country to accept QR payments from Filipino customers.
AUB president Manuel Gomez said the bank is excited to further support Starbucks Philippines in incorporating digital innovations at their stores with its forward thinking solutions.
“GrabPay brings in another element of excitement in this partnership with Grab’s strong customer following and engagement,” Gomez said.
GrabPay is a mobile wallet that powers all cashless payments within its ecosystem including services such as transport, food, delivery, hotels as well as in-store and online transactions in thousands of partner merchants all over the Philippines.
The AUB PayMate – GrabPay implementation allows baristas to input the transaction in their point of sale system and Grab users to easily pay using their dynamic GrabPay QR code.
