Cantos is new BPI-Philam CEO

MANILA, Philippines - BPI-Philam Life Assurance Corp. has named Ariel G. Cantos as the new president and chief executive officer. Cantos held various senior executive posts in his 30 years in Philam Life, the last of which was senior vice president and chief agency officer. He also sits as a board member of the Philippine American Life and General Insurance Co. (Philam Life), BPI-Philam, Philam Foundation, Ayala-FGU Alabang and Makati Condominium Corp. BPI-Philam is a strategic bancassurance alliance between the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) and Philam Life. BPI operates over 800 branches and 1,500 automated teller machines (ATMs) while Philam Life manages 450 agency leaders and 6,000 agents.
