Lady Tamaraws boost SSL drive

MANILA, Philippines —  Far Eastern University drew closer to securing a twice-to-beat advantage in the quarterfinals after an emphatic sweep of College of Saint Benilde, 25-14, 25-9, 25-17, for a second straight Round of 8 win in the 2026 Shakey’s Super League (SSL) Unity Cup yesterday at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

Dictating the pace for most of the match, the Lady Tamaraws took a little over an hour for a quick disposal of the hapless Lady Blazers for a 2-0 win-loss record in Pool E.

FEU can formally clinch one of the two quarters bonus in its group if five-peat-seeking National University (1-0) defeats Adamson University (0-1) in their duel.

The Lady Tamaraws remained unscathed after five games overall in the league’s centerpiece competition, backed by Shakey’s Pizza Parlor, Peri-Peri Charcoal Chicken, Potato Corner, and R&B Milk Tea.
