Megaworld makes splash with Ilocos township beach club

First-of-its-kind
MANILA, Philippines — Property giant Megaworld Corp. is putting up a first-of-its-kind beach club in its 84-hectare Ilocandia Coastown in Ilocos Norte, the company’s first township in northern Luzon.
Megaworld said the Ilocandia Beach Club, which would be Laoag’s first and only beach club, is inspired by world-famous beach clubs of Sentosa Island in Singapore.
It will feature a main beach club facility with direct access to the beach, complemented by a promenade of restaurants and alfresco dining destinations, cafés and shops.
The main club facility will have a state-of-the-art fitness center, swimming pools, private VIP lounges, relaxation areas as well as walking and jogging paths.
“Our goal is to offer a unique, vibrant and exciting beachside township experience in Ilocandia Coastown. We envision Ilocandia Beach Club to be the township’s flagship lifestyle hub and the definitive centerpiece of the Ilocandia Coastown experience where guests can enjoy a unique beachside lifestyle,” Ilocandia Coastown head of sales and marketing May Santos said.
“This will further highlight Ilocandia Coastown’s identity as a premier destination in this side of Ilocos Norte,” Santos said.
Megaworld targets to commence land development of Ilocandia Coastown early next year.
As the company’s first and only integrated township in Ilocos Region, Ilocandia Coastown will have its own town center, lifestyle mall, office and commercial developments, hotels, shophouse district, as well as leisure and recreational facilities.
Megaworld has reported an “overwhelming success” for Ilocandia Beach Village, which is poised to become the first and only exclusive and gated residential village with direct access to the beach in Laoag City.
The village, which forms part of the Ilocandia Coastown, will offer a total of 446 lots ranging from 230 square meters to 406 sqm. Lots will be ready for turnover by 2031.
Ilocandia Coastown features its own 1.4-kilometer beachline and is less than 10 minutes away from the airport.
