Consunji named chairman of Dominion Holdings

MANILA, Philippines — Dominion Holdings Inc. (DHI) has appointed tycoon Isidro Consunji as its new chairman of the board.
In a stock exchange filing, DHI said its board has accepted the resignation of Frederic DyBuncio as chairman for “board organization reasons.”
DyBuncio, however, remains as a director and the president of the company.
Consunji has been the chairman and president of conglomerate DMCI Holdings Inc. for 29 years. He is also the chairman of Semirara Mining and Power Corp.
DHI has undergone a sweeping leadership overhaul following a change in ownership.
The company’s board earlier accepted the resignation of nine directors, including Elmer Serrano, Luis Ma. Uranza and other members, effective immediately.
The company subsequently elected a new set of directors, led by prominent business figures such as Consunji, Henry Sy Jr. and Frederic DyBuncio, alongside independent directors including retired Supreme Court associate justice Rosmari Carandang.
