The Bistro Group opens for sub-franchising
MANILA, Philippines — The Bistro Group has opened some of their most successful restaurant concepts to sub-franchising, with the Japanese casual dining brand Watami becoming the first.
The 80-seater restaurant will open at NAIA Terminal 3 next month as its 23rd branch and the first sub-franchise store.
With 30 years of proven excellence in the Philippine food and beverage industry, The Bistro Group revolutionized the casual dining experience with TGIFriday’s in 1994. They then brought multiple American concepts to the Philippines such as Italianni’s, Denny’s, Buffalo Wild Wings, Morton’s The Steakhouse, Texas Roadhouse, Randy’s Donuts, Olive Garden, Hard Rock Café and El Pollo Loco.
Asian concepts also thrived within the company’s portfolio such as Watami, Modern Shang, Red Lotus, Bulgogi Brothers, Secret Recipe and Fish & Co as well as homegrown restaurants like Krazy Garlik and Siklab+.
There are also Spanish concepts like Las Flores, Tomatito, Rambla and Rumba as well as Bistro Elite restaurants Helm, Ember, Savage and The Test Kitchen.
These restaurants have become household names, with store locations all over the archipelago. Last March and April, The Bistro Group launched Juniper and LongHorn Steakhouse, respectively.
Among the concepts open to sub-franchising are TGIFriday’s, Italianni’s, El Pollo Loco, Bulgogi Brothers, Modern Shang and Red Lotus. Homegrown concepts offer enticing opportunities as well such as Krazy Garlik, a unique concept that serves Western and Asian flavors with garlic as the hero ingredient and Siklab+, Bistro’s first Filipino restaurant that is making waves in the industry.
To date, the Bistro Group operates over 200 stores nationwide and 28 different concepts. Recently, they also opened Fogo de Chao, an internationally renowned experiential restaurant known for the culinary art of churrasco. Also to be launched in October is Dave & Buster’s, the ultimate destination for food, drink and entertainment with an arcade, restaurant and bar in one place.
