ALH, Hilton to open Canopy Hotel in 2026

MANILA, Philippines — Ayala Land Hospitality (ALH), the Ayala Group’s hospitality arm, is bringing another prestigious hotel brand in the Philippines as it teams up with Hilton to open the first Canopy by Hilton in the country.
The 24-story Canopy by Hilton will open at the One Ayala development in Makati in 2026.
It will feature 400 stylishly designed rooms and suites that “blend contemporary comfort with materials and artwork inspired by Manila’s creative and cultural scene.”
“We’re thrilled to team up with Hilton to bring Canopy’s vibrant spirit to Manila,” ALH president and CEO George Aquino said.
“It’s not just about adding rooms — it’s about creating stays that spark curiosity and celebrate Filipino creativity. This exciting collaboration brings us closer to our goal of shaping the Philippines into a must-visit destination, one unforgettable stay at a time,” he said.
Canopy by Hilton is known for “stylish and locally connected stays that reflect the spirit of the locale.”
With more than 40 hotels open across 14 countries and territories and more than 40 more in the pipeline, each Canopy hotel is different by design and thoughtfully tailored to its setting.
ALH said that Canopy Makati would carry that spirit forward with a perspective that is rooted in warm hospitality, full of energy and infused with modern design and a bold perspective.
“Introducing our Canopy brand to the Philippines is a significant milestone, especially in such a vibrant junction in the heart of Makati. Metro Manila is ripe for a fresh perspective on hospitality and we believe Canopy’s lifestyle approach will resonate with both local and international guests,” Maria Ariizumi, vice president of development for South East Asia at Hilton, said.
“This launch also marks the beginning of a meaningful partnership with Ayala Land Hospitality, who are passionate stewards of the Canopy vision,” she said.
ALH’s portfolio currently spans homegrown brands like Seda Hotels, El Nido Resorts and Huni, Lio, alongside international luxury names such as Raffles Makati, Fairmont Makati and the upcoming Mandarin Oriental Makati.
The company also recently announced a partnership with Marriott International to bring the Moxy Hotels brand to the Philippines.
Moxy Hotels, Marriott’s playful and design-forward lifestyle hotel brand, will also make its debut in Makati and is targeted to open by the end of 2026.
Ayala Land has also acquired the New World Hotel Makati, which will form part of ALH’s portfolio.
