Converge goes beyond connectivity, offers productivity solutions

MANILA, Philippines — Broadband provider Converge ICT Solutions Inc. has jumped on the productivity segment with the introduction of cloud-based services meant to streamline the operations of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

Converge is offering MSMEs its Converge Workplace, a suite of cloud-based services curated to improve the productivity of small-scale firms.

Converge chief operations officer Jesus Romero said Converge Workplace aims to give MSMEs the cloud tools they need to scale up their presence.

With this, Converge hopes that MSMEs could cut their capital expenditures as the solution automates many parts of their operations.

“Just because you are a small business does not mean that you shouldn’t have the capabilities of larger enterprises,” Romero said.

“We are leveling the playing field for MSMEs because we want them to be more competitive and with these flexible solutions, they can cut down on additional costs such as a huge IT department or expensive hardware,” he added.

Converge Workplace offers three products including SweldoMo, device solutions and hotel management solution.

SweldoMo serves as an automated payroll and timekeeping solution that delivers one of the most basic functions in human resources: settling the salaries of employees.

Converge pointed out SweldoMo has the capability to adapt to different modes of arrangements like variable pay.

It also automates the manual procedures of computing payroll, salaries and deductions. With this, MSMEs can track the attendance of their employees in real time.
