MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine Retailers Association (PRA) invites thousands of retail executives and industry leaders to look out for the best retail trends geared toward innovation and tools in making their brick-and-mortar stores and e-commerce marketplace digitally easy, efficient and effective to win customers every year.

Stores Asia Expo, the twin activity of the NRCE National Retail Conference, will have an essential go-to-shop for business of all sizes in this new retail market.  The 28th National Retail Conference and Stores Asia Expo (NRCE) slated on-site this Aug. 11 to 12 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City will have the theme “Retail: Ready, Re/set/ GROW!”

PRA president Rosemarie Bosch Ong, SEVP and COO of Wilcon Depot Inc., said since its launching, the Stores Asia Expo has served as an ideal venue for retail suppliers to meet clients, build networks, connect, collaborate and develop trust within the industry. With the exhibit held side by side with the retail conference, the Stores Asia Expo has a captured audience and market of retail decision makers.

Ong said the 28th NRCE is a giant step toward the creation of a roadmap to a better retail industry. “We must equip fellow retailers and supplier industries to help them expand their respective brands and businesses.”

Stores Asia Expo 2022 chair Shirley Ng, SVP for retail at Expressions Stationery Shop Inc., said: “We always want to bring the best to the table and help local retailers get the best products and services develop their businesses and at the same time offer efficient, high-quality, and fast service to their consumers in this pandemic economy.”

“This year, we introduce new features and developments in the Expo – The Showroom: Store of the New Normal where we will highlight the latest technologies, solutions, and equipment to make their store ready for the new normal. We have also expanded the exhibit itself by introducing this year the Food Alley, a special area in the expo that will offer food and snacks to both the attendees and suppliers. This is not only an opportunity for them to actually sell, but a chance to meet and network with retail executives, who are likewise the visitors in the Expo and Networking Hub to meet potential clients and discuss their future partnerships,” Ng said.

Over 50 retail tech and innovation companies from retail solutions, e-commerce, mobile payments, financial technology solutions, point-of-sale, advertising technology, shop fittings and store design, consultancy services, and more will be gathered to showcase their products and services in this new normal. Over the years, it has served as the most significant avenue that directly links retail suppliers to their primary market.

“As the biggest retail suppliers’ exhibition in the country, one of the most exciting revelations is that it’s impossible to ignore that consumers are quickly adaptive in technology. New channels are given to consumers to communicate with the brands to connect. They now have unlimited access to information, which they can share their opinions with their peers. Retailers should invest their time and energy by looking out for the best innovative enhancements, sustainable tools, and retail solutions to keep a solid competitive edge, Ng said.
