Alaska Milk introduces new managing director
MANILA, Philippines — Alaska Milk Corp. (AMC) announces the appointment of Tarang Gupta as its new managing director, effective Aug. 1. He takes the place of Harvey Uong, who has been appointed as senior vice president – Region Asia for AMC’s parent company, FrieslandCampina.
Gupta has 20 years of FMCG experience with over 11 years of experience with FrieslandCampina, having first joined as the global marketing director for infant nutrition in 2010. Most recently, he served as managing director of Dutch Lady Milk Industries Berhad (FrieslandCampina Malaysia), where he was able to lead the business to be No. 1 in market position in both specialized nutrition and consumer dairy and bring the company to be recognized as one of the best in providing nutrition to improve health status of Malaysians.
Harvey Uong, who hails from the Philippines, will continue to oversee elements of the AMC business as senior vice president – Region Asia.
