HARI, Lalamove enter partnership
Hyundai and Lalamove have partnered to provide best and sustainable mobility solutions for entrepreneurs using Hyundai H-100 trucks. Present during the signing are (from left, front) Shaw Automotive Resources Inc. VP for Operations Maria Antonietta Alonzo, SVP/COO Doroteo Sornet, Lalamove Automotive managing director April Dannah Majarocon and operations manager Jeff Balanga.

MANILA, Philippines — The local distributor of South Korean vehicle brand Hyundai has tied up with on-demand delivery service Lalamove to allow the latter’s partners using H-100 vans to avail of special offers to ensure on-time deliveries.

Under the partnership between Hyundai Asia Resources Inc. (HARI) and Lalamove, Lalamove partners using Hyundai’s H-100 vans can avail of any of the following benefits: discounts for parts and service, faster turnaround on preventive maintenance service (PMS), fixed rates for picking up and delivering units for PMS, and a program for fleet expansion and re-fleeting.

Through the partnership, HARI and Lalamove would help both micro, small and medium enterprises and large corporations cut transport costs, reach more consumers, and have on-time deliveries.

“Hyundai and Lalamove speak the same language when it comes to transportation. One of Hyundai’s advocacies is sustainable mobility, and we are so excited to contribute to this by marrying the strength, durability, and efficiency of the H-100 with Lalamove’s wide network of partners and convenient user interface,” HARI president and chief executive officer Ma. Fe Perez-Agudo said.

For her part, Lalamove Philippines managing director Dannah Majarocon said the partnership would allow both firms to provide support to partner drivers.

“This means providing our partner drivers with a source of livelihood. The H-100 is a durable and versatile vehicle that is fully equipped to do this and to satisfy our customers’ delivery needs. On top of that, Lalamove will have easy access to PMS and parts given Hyundai’s ever-growing nationwide network of dealerships,” she said.

Hyundai’s H-100 light truck, which has a payload capacity of 1,335 kilograms, is designed to transport both cargo and passengers.

Powered by a 2.5-liter CRDi Euro 4 engine, the H-100 is fuel efficient and compliant to modern standards on reduced carbon emissions.

In addition, the H-100 promises to stand the test of time as all units go through a seven-dip electrodeposition process to produce a durable and rust-proof coating, and have a five-year unlimited mileage warranty.

“This partnership targets the ‘last mile’ logistics challenge for businesses and end- customers. The H-100 and Lalamove will ensure that partners get to maximize profit without having to maintain their own fleet,” Agudo said.

Apart from the H-100, HARI distributes other vehicles including the Kona electric vehicle, Ioniq EV, Palisade, Reina, Accent, Accent Hatch, Veloster, Ioniq Hybrid, Kona, Tucson, Santa Fe, Grand Starex Urban, as well as trucks and buses.
