Understanding trade finance for auditors

MANILA, Philippines — To help auditors, accountants, bankers, treasurers, CFOs, comptrollers and anyone who wants to fully understand trade finance operations, the Center for Global Best Practices will launch a two-day training titled, Understanding Trade Finance Practices & Compliance Issues for Auditors  on Sept. 25 and 26 at the Manila Marriott Hotel, Pasay City.

The two-day program is specifically designed to provide external and internal auditors with in-depth knowledge on trade finance and compliance issues to be effective in their auditing assignments within financial service institutions, import and export companies.

The training will cover international trade finance cycle, trade finance products, the key risks in international trade, shipping guarantees, modes of payment, commonly encountered issues on international trade and  the process of auditing trade finance, valuable insights, solutions. 

Attendees will also gain knowledge on the different types of LCs – its applications, process, purpose and issues on compliance that are usually encountered by traders.

Tan regularly do this training in Singapore for PricewaterhouseCoopers – the largest accounting firm in the world.
