MANILA, Philippines — Metropac Movers Inc. (MMI), the logistics arm of infrastructure conglomerate Metro Pacific Investments Corp., has opened its very own training center in line with its goal to become the country’s top logistics company.

The center, named OneLogistics Inc. Technical and Vocational Institute, was recently accredited by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority to offer short courses on warehouse operations such as warehouse inventory management, proof of delivery, rout and load planning to employees of the MMI group.

MMI said the facility would also open classes in forklift operation, warehouse services, and other related courses.

Classes are expected to begin within the first quarter, with MMI personnel and subject matter experts serving as administrators and faculty.

MMI said the training school is part of its efforts in ensuring world-class competence of its employees.

“Along with continuing investments in information technology, warehouses and equipment, the training school seeks to further MMI’s goal of becoming the best logistics company in the country,” the company said.

MMI started operations in May 2016 with end-to-end logistics services as its core business.

The company offers transport and freight forwarding through its three trucking components namely, Premier Logistics, Metropac Trucking Co. Inc., and Trucking Pro.

MMI also operates over 200,000 square meters of aggregate warehouse space in strategic locations across Metro Manila, Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao capable of handling warehousing, distribution and crossdocking requirements of local and international clients.
