Insular life promotes Elicaño to EVP
MANILA, Philippines - Insular Life chairman of the board and CEO Vicente R. Ayllón recently announced the promotion of Ma. Edita C. Elicaño to executive vice president, head of the administrative operations group (AOG) and Chief Actuary.
Prior to her promotion, Elicaño served as head of the company’s insurance administration. As head of the AOG, she has direct supervision over the following core operational units of Insular Life: actuarial, business process, new business, customer services, branch management, corporate accounts services, financial planning and control, and nnformation services.
Elicaño joined Insular Life in 1986. She graduated with a BS in Mathematics (Actuarial Science) degree, magna cum laude from the University of the Philippines where she also obtained her MS in Mathematics (Actuarial Science). She is a Fellow of the Actuarial Society of the Philippines.
