The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The Center for Global Best Practices is launching a one-day seminar entitled “Best Practices in Crafting Your HR Policies and Contracts” on Aug. 20, 2015 at the Baguio Country Club, Baguio City.

This special seminar offers an opportunity to align HR documents with the updated labor laws. It is one of the best HR risk management initiative you can do in avoiding future people problems and for a trouble-free enforcement of employment contracts. Many companies have the misfortune of having outdated and defective contracts and unlawful policies and they only find these out much later on when they receive complaint notices from Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) or through labor cases penalizing them with millions in compensation damages by the courts.

This one-day HR best practices event will empower you to learn how to craft the right policies and contracts that can save you so much on legal and consulting fees. The lecture will feature latest Supreme Court rulings on employment.

This seminar will feature labor law expert and practitioner lawyer Elvin Villanueva who is also the author of 12 best-selling labor and HR books.

For details and a complete list of upcoming best practices seminars including Best Practices in Crafting Your HR Code of Discipline (Cebu Seminar on July 17), HR Best Practices in Job Contracting and Subcontracting, Best Practices Guide to Valid Dismissal, Contract Law for Non-Lawyers, and more, you may log on to www.cgbp.org or call (02) 842-7148 / 59 and 556-8968 / 69; Cebu lines (032) 512-3106 or 07 or Baguio line (074) 423-5148.
