Peso moves sideways midday Monday

MANILA, Philippines - The peso moved sideways against the greenback midday Monday, settling at 44.936 from the previous day's 44.89.

Total volume transacted at the Philippine Dealing System amounted to $305.3 million in the morning, higher than the $286.2 million posted the same period on Friday.

The peso opened the week at 44.97.
