MANILA, Philippines - The period to submit bids for four airport projects has been extended by the Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) following requests of potential bidders.

DOTC undersecretary Rene Limcaoco said in the department’s General Bid Bulletin No. 01-2012 issued on June 29, the opening of the bids for the development of the San Vicente, Sanga-Sanga, Cotabato and Dipolog airports has been moved to July 13 from July 5.

He said the DOTC decided to move the auction date for the four projects “on the request (of prospective bidders) to extend the bidding date and conduct of site inspection.”

He also said requests for site inspection of interested firms would have to be coordinated with the department.
