Smart set to release iPhone 4S tomorrow

MANILA, Philippines - Smart Communications has reiterated that it will offer the iPhone 4S to its customers beginning Dec. 16, 2011.

“Contrary to rumors that were spread in the press and online, we shall start selling iPhone 4S as scheduled, on the 16th. We suggest that interested persons sign up in our website, which has already received numerous reservations, so that they can enjoy using the iPhone 4S in the country’s best cellular network,” Smart public affairs head Ramon Isberto said.

iPhone 4S will be available for both postpaid and prepaid subscribers in Smart’s retail stores across the country on that date. The phones can also pre-ordered online at www.smart.com.ph/iphone4s. All three ariants -- the 16GB, 32GB and 64GB models -- will be offered.

The iPhone 4s is packed with incredible new features including Apple’s dual-core A5 chip for blazing fast performance and stunning graphics; an all new camera with advanced optics and full 1080p HD resolution video recording. With the launch of iPhone 4S also comes the launch of iOS 5, the world’s most advanced mobile operating system with over 200 new features; and iCloud, a breakthrough set of free cloud services that work with iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Mac or PC to automatically and wirelessly store content in iCloud and push it to other devices.

“Now, more Filipinos in more parts of the country will be able to have a superior mobile Internet experience with the iPhone 4S. We have the reach, reliability and capacity to deliver the best mobile Internet service. Our subscribers will be able to use their iPhones via the most flexible postpaid plans and prepaid bundles that give real value for money,” Smart chief wireless advisor Orland Vea said.
