IP-Converge expands in new BGC facility

-

MANILA, Philippines - IP Converge Data Center Inc. (IP-Converge), the country’s first and only publicly listed Internet data center and cloud services provider, has expanded its data center operations to a new facility in Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Taguig to meet the country’s increasing demand for data center co-location services.

Ushering in the “cloud age” in the Philippines, IP-Converge is one of the country’s prime movers of cloud computing, offering a full suite of cloud solutions, from infrastructure-as-a-service operating in its telco-grade data centers, to platform-as-a-service and software-as-a-service through its partnerships with world-leaders in the cloud computing space.

“Cloud computing will soon be a standard model for business operations in the Philippines. Through this, enterprises will see increased productivity, cost savings, faster time to market, and the leverage needed to be at par with global players,” IP-Converge president Reynaldo Huergas said.

Cloud computing is the delivery of applications, infrastructure, or computing platforms as a service utilizing shared data center resources, rather than as a product. It enables users to access and subscribe to such services, anytime, anywhere, over the Internet.

The state-of-the-art facility, IPC Data Center BGC, is an expansion of IP-Converge’s first Internet data center in RCBC Plaza, Makati City.

“This expansion is a testament to how more and more enterprises are starting to see the benefits of data center co-location,” Huergas says. “From businesses that rely on private cloud systems for internal operations, to providers of public cloud services like social media and e-commerce, and companies requiring worry-free disaster recovery contingencies, data center co-location is the best way to keep operations stable, secure and cost-efficient,” he added.

Huergas also harped on the facility’s strategic location: “Bonifacio Global City is proving to be the next big central business district in the country, with major multinational corporations setting up offices in the area.”

Both IP-Converge data centers are telco-grade, carrier-neutral facilities that feature full infrastructure and telecommunications redundancy. In addition, the company is certified for ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems, and is in the process of acquiring its ISO 27001:2005 Information Security Management Systems certification.

“Organizations can rely on our data centers to ensure smooth operations and continued performance of their mission-critical IT systems, data and applications - 24 x 7. With our expansion facility now operational, we can serve more customers and provide them the right services to achieve their business goals faster,” Huergas said.
