BSP to award partners today

MANILA, Philippines - In celebration of the Bangko Sentral’s 17th anniversary in July, the BSP will hold the  awarding ceremony for BSP stakeholders to give recognition to partners all over the  country who have provided exemplary support to the BSP’s statistical undertakings and advocacies.

Selected from the country’s top corporations, government and private institutions, the awardees will be feted during the traditional appreciation lunch for stakeholders which  will be held in various parts of the country – NCR and Regions I, III, IV, V, VII, IX,

XI and XII – from July to September 2010. Last year, the BSP gave out 29  awards, 18 in the National Capital Region (NCR) and 11 in areas outside NCR.

The 2010 Stakeholders Awards and Appreciation Lunch in the NCR will be held today,  July 7, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the BSP Assembly Hall, BSP Complex, Manila. The  BSP governor, together with the members of the Monetary Board and other key officials

of the BSP, will lead in honoring this year’s awardees and stakeholders in the NCR as  well as in other regions of the country. This event is expected to further strengthen the  partnerships between the BSP and its stakeholders and encourage their continued  commitment to collaborate with the BSP in its data collection and advocacy campaigns.
