Kahit na-disappoint sa dalawang miyembro...Lea, Army pa rin!

Nagpaliwanag si Lea Salonga kung bakit in-unfollow niya sa Instagram ang dalawang members ng BTS na sina RM and J-Hope.

As we all know ay certified ARMY (tawag sa BTS fans) ang Broadway icon kaya marami ang nagtaka sa pag-unfollow niya sa dalawang miyembro at hinala ng netizens, may kinalaman ito sa pagdalo ng mga ito sa concert ni Chris Brown noong Aug. 12.

Ngayong Martes ay nagkaroon ng “Ask Miss Lea” session ang Broadway icon sa Threads kung saan ay isang netizen ang nagtanong tungkol sa views niya about RM and J-Hope’s appearance sa concert ni Chris Brown.

“First off, my being a fan can be equated to a single grain of sand on a massive beach. Whatever my actions are won’t affect anyone, except maybe cause consternation in the minds of other fans, which I do expect and accept responsibility for,” simulang sagot ni Lea.

Kasunod nito ay sinabi niyang totoong in-unfollow niya sina RM at J-Hope pero ginawa raw niya ito para sa kanyang sariling kapakanan dahil naapektuhan siya at nalungkot sa controversy.

“Yes I did unfollow, but I did it for my own sake,” she added. “It’s not meant to be punitive to either of them, at all,” she said.

“But I recognized that I was waking up sad and/or upset, or find myself way too affected. This was unhealthy so I took a step back, for me,” paliwanag niya.

“As many fans have rightly pointed out, we are owed nothing really. They are autonomous human beings, but so am I, and whatever decisions I make are mine alone.

“If I hurt anyone in the aftermath, that isn’t my intention but I’m sorry if I hurt you nonetheless,” dagdag pa niyang paliwanag.

Bagama’t in-unfollow niya ang dalawang BTS members, nagpapasalamat pa rin si Lea sa naging malaking papel ng grupo sa kanyang buhay during the pandemic.

“I am still so grateful for the typhoon they created in my life when they arrived in 2020. I was navigating my marriage ending, raising a teenager, and a global pandemic (not to mention the occasional death threat due to politics). They saved my sanity when I needed saving. I’ll never forget that,” aniya.

Umaani ng katakut-takot na pamba-bash sina RM at J-Hope matapos manood ng concert ni Chris Brown at nag-share pa ng photos nila sa social media kasama ang nasabing American singer.

Super-nega kasi ang image ni Chris Brown dahil na rin sa paulit-ulit niyang pagkakasangkot sa maraming issues na may kinalaman sa violence.

Isa sa pinag-usapan nang husto kay Brown ay ang pag-plead niya ng guilty ng felony assault sa singer girlfriend niyang si Rihanna in 2009.
