Tambay na menor de edad dadamputin na rin ng PNP

MANILA, Philippines – Inutos ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte sa Philippine National Police (PNP) nitong Martes na damputin ang mga menor de edad na kumakalat sa kalsada para sa kanilang kaligtasan.

Kinailangan ni Duterte ipatupad ang kampanya laban sa tambay sapagkat ayon sa bagong survey ng Social Weather Stations, may 1.5 milyong pamilyang naging biktima ng krimen sa loob lamang ng unang tatlong buwan ng taon.

Sa kampanyang ito, isasama ng pangulo ang mga batang may edad na 18 pababa sa kanyang kampanya laban sa tambay upang protektahan ang mga ito laban sa ilegal na droga at krimen.

“So 18. We do not have specifics. Eighteen, below 18, you arrest the teenagers there around loitering because we have to protect our children. Nagkalat na ang droga, nagkalat na ang lahat,” wika ni Duterte

Nilinaw ni Duterte na hindi aarestuhin ang mga menor de edad dahil sa krimen ngunit dadalhin sa Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

“We are removing the minors, take them into custody, call the DSWD and the barangay, you take care of them,” ani Duterte.

“They are not being arrested for any crime. It’s for their own good that they are arrested. Because under the (principle of) parens patriae, which is the principal bedrock of protecting people, everyone is weak. We can take custody of the minors to protect them under the principle of parens patriae – the father of the nation,” dagdag niya.

Nitong simula ng buwan, inatasan ni Duterte ang PNP na ipatupad ang mas mahigpit na panukala laban sa mga tambay na inilarawan niya bilang “potential trouble for the public.”

Umani ang kampanya ng maraming kritisismo matapos mamatay ang 25 anyos na si Genesis “Tisoy” Argoncillo ilang araw matapos arestuhin dahil diumano sa alarm and scandal.

Nanawagan naman ng mas malalim na imbestigasyon sina Sen. Paolo Benigno “Bam” Aquino IV at ang mga miyembro ng Makabayan bloc sa House of Representatives ukol sa anti-tambay campaign at sa pagkamatay ni Argoncillo.

Pinayuhan naman ni Duterte ang pulisya na isa-walang bahala ang mga natatanggap ka kritisismo at sa halip ay ipagpatuloy ang pagpapanatili ng kaligtasan ng mga kalsada lalo na sa gabi.

“Mamili kayo: perdition ng ating bayan o mag-inistrikto ako. Hindi na bale ‘yang atake, atake. Talo man,” ani ni Duterte.

Binanatan din ng pangulo ang kanyang mga kritiko at sinabing nagpapangap lamang ang mga ito na matatalino.

“B**** you think you know better. If that’s the case, go to Malacañang and I will let you assume as President. I’ll give you one year to sit down and solve the problem... You know these sons of b******, if they are really bright, they should have become the President,” ani niya.

Sinabi ni Duterte na magpapatuloy ang pagtugis sa mga tambay maliban nalamang kung ideklara ng korte Suprema na ilegal ito. Giniit niya na ang kampanya ay parte ng police power ng estado.

 “I am now invoking the police power of the state to establish order (and) safety that is not subject to legislation,” ani Duterte.

“The President can order, the mayor can order, the barangay can order, issue regulations to protect public health, public safety, public order and to protect the general welfare of the country,” dagdag niya.

Sinigurado naman ni Duterte na hindi makukulong ang mga pulis dahil sa paggawa ng kanilang trabaho.

“Do not believe in the criticisms, do not read it. It is none of your business to be reading what they are talking about; it is our business to follow what we are ordered to do,” ani niya.
