Pederalismo mapadali pinaagi sa referendum

CEBU, Philippines — Ang lead convenor sa National Anti-Poverty Commission nisugyot nga kinahanglang paspasan ang nationwide referendum alang sa gitinguhang kausaban sa sistema sa panggobiyerno padung sa pederalismo.

Sa pamahayag ni NAPC Secretary Noel K. Felongco ang mas maayong alternatibo ang referendum tungod kay sa pagkakaron bugnaw kaayo ang tinagdan sa Kongreso sa pederalismo pinaagi sa charter change.

Matud ang referendum mahimo rang ipaagi sa enabling resolution sa House of Representatives.

Si Felongco miingon nga ang referendum unang gisugyot ni Secretary Adelino B. Sitoy sa Presidential Legislative Liaison Office.

Matud niya gusto sa NAPC nga magpahigaton og mga regional consultations uban sa mga sectoral organizations aron makakuha og dugang suporta aron mausab ang sistema sa panggobiyerno ngadto na sa pederalismo.

“This will culminate in a national meeting of all groups advocating federalism to come up with a common stand,” matud niya.

Sa samang higayon,  si Felongco miingon nga mokunsulta siya kang DILG undersecretary Jonathan Malayang aron motabang sa mga programa sa pederalismo.  

“It is important that there is a meeting of minds if we are to push federalism in terms readily understood by all,” matud niya.

Ang Davao-based architect nga si Florencio Gavino sa Kilos Pederal sa Pagbabago sa samang pamahayag miingon nga ang pagpahigayon og referendum usa ka direktang pamaagi sa demokrasya nga kinahanglang suportahan.

“Of course, a shorter route is for President Duterte himself to take a direct hand by directing the Department of Interior and Local Government to hold barangay assemblies nationwide that will in turn empower the President to take the necessary steps towards federalism,” matud pa niya.
