The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - For a decade now, the Ateneo Art Gallery has been celebrating the year’s best work from the year’s best young artists (yes, we consider 36 and below quite young — or haven’t you heard that 40 is the new 30?) through their annual Ateneo Art Awards. Out of 84 nominations this year, 12 were selected to make up the shortlist for the visual art category. Three among them will be given the Fernando Zóbel Prize for Visual Art on Aug. 14. See the faces behind the work — and the work itself, which will be on exhibit at the Mid-Level 2/3 of Shangri-La Plaza’s East Atrium from today until Aug. 18.
