Fernando, Paz close in on crowns

MANILA, Philippines — Reigning Underbone king Masato Fernando of Spec-V and McKinley Kyle Paz overcame the challenge of their rivals to capture separate significant wins that moved them closer to their coveted plums recently in the fifth leg of the 2017 FDR Philippine Scooter Racing Championship Series and 2017 FDR Underbone King Championship Series at the Batangas Racing Circuit.

Fernando won the Underbone 150cc Open crown in Race 5 of the 2017 FDR Underbone King Championship Series while Paz scored his first win in the premier 180cc PSR Open division to fortify his title quest in the 2017 FDR Philippine Scooter Racing Championship Series.

Both are part of the 2017  Eneos Phl Motorsports Championships sponsored by FDR, sanctioned by the Unified Sports and Racing Association (USRA).
