Pacquiao hopes Mayweather vs McGregor fight won’t be boring

BRISBANE, Australia – Manny Pacquiao can only hope that the recently announced boxing match between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and UFC star Conor McGregor will live up to the hype.
Many observers think the bout is a huge mismatch in favor of the seasoned Mayweather, who has never lost in 49 professional boxing fights.
On Sunday after attending church service here, Pacquiao faced the media and repeated what everyone thinks of the August 26 fight.
“I can say Floyd Mayweather will win because the fight is in boxing, not MMA. So the advantage is with Floyd,” said Pacquiao, who will take on Jeff Horn at the Suncorp Stadium here seven days from now.
He stressed that boxing is simply not McGregor’s forte.
“I don’t think McGregor is comfortable in pure boxing,” added Pacquiao.
The consolation, according to Pacquiao, is for the fight to feature lots of action, regardless if it ends up in a Mayweather win or a massive upset by McGregor.
“I'm hoping it's not going to be a boring fight. I mean both fighters are moving around, so we'll see,” said the Filipino icon.
