Amit banners Team East in Queen’s Cup

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Former world champion Rubilen Amit heads the crack Team East seeking a title repeat against Team West in the Queen’s Cup 10-ball championship set April 16-18 at Resorts World Manila’s The Plaza in Newport Mall.

Amit will re-unite with South Korea’s Eunji Park, Taiwan’s Jennifer Chen and former world No. 1 Siming Chen of China as they gun for another victory against the West Team composed of USA’s Jennifer Barretta and Vivian Villareal, and Billiard Congress of America (BCA) Hall of Famers Ewa Laurance of Sweden and Northern Ireland’s Karen Corr.

“Resorts World Manila is once again thrilled to host this year’s Queens Cup. With a collection of talents, this is arguably the country’s biggest women’s sporting event of the year,” said RWM’s director for special events and promotions Francis Bonnevie. “It’s our pleasure to host these lady pros from around the world and to showcase their talents within the first class facilities of our property.”

The event will see the elite of women’s pro pool playing 10-ball action in singles, doubles, triples, and 4-on-4 formats in billiards’ version of the Ryder Cup.

The first team to win 10 matches will win the crown.

The AM8.com Queen’s Cup, a Dragons Promotions production, is sponsored by Andy Cloth and Viking Cue.
