Unveiling a hidden gem: Tagô opens up for fractional ownership

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - Fractional ownership is an innovative shared-ownership solution that allows families and friends to co-own a property and maximize its use. This answers concerns of vacation home owners who do not get to frequently visit their homes, which puts into question the significant investment required to purchase and maintain it. Apart from real estate, smart buyers often use this increasingly popular acquisition alternative for other desired items like expensive cars and jets.

In the last few years, a lot of people have invested in time-share properties, which allows them to make use of a vacation home during a set number of days within a year. In between, the common property is used by other time-share owners who, more often than not, may be strangers.

Unlike a time-share set-up, in fractional ownership, the property is owned and shared by more than one person, but with a legally divided title deed. With this scheme, usage rights as well as maintenance and upkeep costs, are divided equitably among homeowners
according to the size of the fraction purchased. This means, your share of the property belongs to you, and you can upgrade your share at anytime, benefit from any property appreciation or even hand it down to future generations.

Mañosa Properties, led by CEO Dino Mañosa, takes on this trend and leads the pack by offering this option for their prime Tagaytay development, Tagô.

Tagô – which means “hidden” in Filipino – is Mañosa’s ode to the Filipino’s desire for a weekend “hideaway” to escape the frenetic pace of city living. The subdivision is an idyllic mountain retreat, located along Bonifacio Drive, just 300 meters off the busy Aguinaldo Highway. The area is quiet yet vibrant and just a short drive away from the plethora of entertainment and dining options all over Tagaytay.

“We want to give our homeowners the feeling that when they are here, they are in their own exclusive enclave. But if they want to go out, the location also allows them to find dining and entertainment options just five minutes away,” said Mañosa.

What makes Tagô stand out from among the developments in the area is the master-planning that was involved, making the most of the raw natural beauty of the landscape. Tagaytay’s cool climate, fresh air and verdant foliage take center stage in the overall design

Privacy is of utmost importance, with only a limited number of homes, ranging from 220 to 300 square meters in size, to be built on the property.

Every home takes inspiration from the Pinoy classic bahay-kubo, with an airy-open plan design and indigenous elements that are friendly to the environment. And of course, it lives up to the multi-awarded Mañosa legacy in its design, quality and value. A testament to the vacation and leisure expertise that come with this firm’s name are the much-lauded and highly-rated resorts Amanpulo in Palawan, Shangri-La Mactan, Pearl Farm Beach Resort in Davao, and Eskaya Beach Resort and Spa in Bohol.
