2 slain in QC drug sting

MANILA, Philippines -  Two drug suspects were killed in an alleged shootout with police during a sting in Quezon City on Saturday.

Virglio Dormitorio, 47, and his companion known only as Robin were shot dead at a house in Barangay Payatas at around 3:30 p.m.

Anti-narcotics operatives from the Batasan police station managed to close a deal with Dormitorio following reports of his alleged involvement in illegal drugs.

Dormitorio and Robin allegedly opened fire when they sensed they were transacting with policemen, who returned fire.

Police said they recovered four sachets of shabu, a .45-caliber pistol, a .38-caliber revolver, drug paraphernalia and P500 in marked money from the suspects.
