Golden feat for #MiladayNow

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - It was a night filled with the loving presence of family and friends when Miladay celebrated its 50th anniversary at Revel at The Palace in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

The trusted fine jewelry brand — helmed by the Dayrit siblings Michelle Soliven, Yvonne Romualdez, Jaqui Boncan, Mark Dayrit and Christine Dayrit — treated their guests to a magical night featuring an unforgettable fashion show that captivated the audience through an amazing jewel collection worn by the most beautiful young ladies and a glittering auction that touched many giving hearts.

In gratitude for Miladay’s five successful decades, the family chose to celebrate by hosting a unique auction show in order to give back to their Five Loves. The auction, with Freddie Santos, a longtime family friend of the Dayrits, as auctioneer, had five beautiful jewelry items that were up for grabs to support the Five Loves of Miladay, which are the five organizations or advocacies that Miladay has been helping the past years. These are the Verbum Dei, a missionary order dedicated to prayer and the Word of God; the Healing Servants Foundation, an organization that provides quality education to 365 underprivileged yet deserving students of the Divine Healer Academy in Sorsogon; the Assumption Mission, a community of sisters and lay partners that aims to provide transformative education and to spread God’s love; Carewell, a foundation that supports, educates and gives hope to cancer patients and their families; and Miladay Foundation, whose current project is to provide homes for the Yolanda survivors in Tacloban. The five winning bidders went home joyfully with their respective jewels while all the proceeds went to the Five Loves. The Miladay family was ecstatic!

Miladay, through an enchanting AVP produced by Digital Fashion Week Manila led by creative director Luis Espiritu, also presented its lovely #MiladayNow muses Sabina Gonzalez, Janeena Chan and Kara Gozali. These muses, all friends of the Dayrit family, embody the path that the premium jewelry brand also treads now — to be relevant in the current generation. A magical and exciting fashion show followed right after, featuring a dazzling array of diamonds, rubies, emeralds, blue sapphires, South Sea pearls and gold jewels cascading onto Patty Ang’s black and white creations that were styled by Sidney Yap.

Miladay’s golden feat also displayed the closeness of the Dayrit family, proving that the family that works together, stays and shines together.

Aside from the second-generation family members being on top of the celebration, the members of third generation also displayed their brilliance that night. For example, the fashion show of Miladay’s latest collections was spearheaded by Alexandra Dayrit with the help of her younger sister Samantha Dayrit and their cousin Christel Boncan-Constantino, along with eight other lovely muses, all dear friends of the Dayrit family. Vincent Soliven made a surprise number by singing Umagang Kay Ganda when he represented the Healing Servants Foundation, where he is one of the organization’s youngest members at 20. Christel and her sister Nikki Boncan-Buensalido modeled the jewelry items for auction, same with their cousin Carin Romualdez. Matthew Dayrit and Cito Romuladez, young as they are, were seen entertaining young and old-time clients of Miladay. Nikki and her husband Jason Buensalido are the architects of the homes being built for the Yolanda survivors. Christel’s husband Mike Constantino put his mettle to the test when he served as the club’s DJ that night.

At 50, Miladay sparkles with timelessness as it embraces the now. Its golden celebration proves that the trusted jewelry company is here to shine even brighter.
