PMA CADETS. The height requirement for those wanting to enter the Philippine Military Academy has been reduced, which many have welcomed, especially by youngsters who have long wanted to become PMAers but couldn't because of height limitation.

BASIS. Many youths have ben heard to argue that one's loyalty to country and willingness to fight and die for it should not be based on one's "tallness" or "shortness." Napoleon Bonaparte, they say, was only 4 feet tall but his heart size was the same as those of the six-footers who fought and died for France.
