CEBU, Philippines - Two college students, a teacher and a businessman reported being robbed by unidentified persons in different areas in Talisay City last Thursday.

At around 11:30 a.m., an unidentified suspect reportedly poked a knife at Michelle Dianne Tolintin, 20, single, resident of Sta. Rita Village, Barangay Dumlog.

The suspect declared the holdup while she was waiting for a public utility jeepney enroute to her school in Cebu City.

Due to fear, she handed her two cellular phones worth P8,500 and her money amounting to P1,000.

She said the suspect immediately fled after.

At around 8:45 p.m., another college student, Flores Maria Grace Gilbuena, 20, single, resident of Barangay Dumlog, also personally appeared at the Talisay City Police Station to report that she, too, was robbed while inside a tricycle.

Gilbuena was heading home from school when two unidentified perpetrators riding a motorcycle suddenly blocked their way and pointed an unknown caliber of firearm at her.

The suspects carted away the victim's cellular phone worth P3,200; her necklace worth P700 and cash amounting to P700.

Meanwhile, a teacher lost her valuables to snatchers while she was riding a motorcycle in Barangay Lawaan III still on Thursday.

Rizalina Sigue, 46, married, of Barangay Mohon, told the police she was onboard a motorcycle when the unknown suspect suddenly grabbed her bag containing cellphone charger, as well as vehicle and house keys.

Earlier that day, businessman Dionecer Campo, of legal age, married, resident of Molave Street, Barangay Tabunok, also sought police help after his motorcycle was taken by a yet unidentified perpetrator.

He told the police that he just went to their coffee vending machine to refill it, but when he came back home, his black and orange Rusi motorcycle with plate number 3620GO parked in front of their house was already gone.

Campo’s wife heard a sound of a revving motorcycle while she was inside their house but she just ignored it.

Later in the morning, they discovered that the motorcycle was already lost.  (FREEMAN)
