Tayud, Jugan ease through senior A semis in Alegado Cup
CEBU, Philippines — Tayud and Jugan ousted separate foes to barge into the semifinal round in the Inter-Barangay senior A caterogy of the 11th Mayor Teresa "Nene" P. Alegado Fiesta Cup basketball tournament in Consolacion, Cebu.
Arnel Momo sizzled with 25 points, Gerald Fernandez rifled 20 markers while Franco Te added 15 points as Tayud dumped Cabangahan, 95-71, to reach the Final Four.
Still in bracket A, Erwin Brigoli nailed 18 points while Japhet Naingue and Almer Ibale connived for 28 points as Jugan blasted Casili, 86-70, to reach the last round of four.
In senior B, Tilhaong and Sacsac kept their semis hopes alive after crushing Panoypoy, 79-50, and Tolo-tolo, 79-74, respecively.
Jonard Apao paced Tilhaong with 12 points while Kenny Tibon and Jerome Talisic contibuted 16 points in between them.
Reymond Boghaw and Boyet Agbay paced Sacsac with 17 points apiece while Bonifacio Isok contributed 14 points. — EBV
