Marquez rules CETBA monthly tourney
CEBU, Philippines — Senior bowler Noel Marquez topped the Cebu Tenpin Bowling Association (CETBA) Monthly Tournament at the SM City Cebu Bowling Center over the weekend.
Marquez, a 25-handicapper, bagged the Bowler of the Month for June after scoring 1,412 in the six game series.
Marquez had a strong start after knocking down 202,187, 215 pinfalls in the first three games. He capped off the tournament with 245, 214 and 199.
Ronan Barredo placed second with 1,278 pinfalls from 219, 227, 187, 188, 166 and 171 scores followed by female senior kegler Beth Ngo at third place with a total of 1,273 pinfalls as Emi Osada settled at fourth place with 1,267.
Senior bowlers Cynthia Uybengkee (1,249) and Baby Bacon (1,233) rounded up to fifth and sixth place, respectively.
