CEBU, Philippines — At least half a kilo of illegal drugs worth over P3.4 million were seized from two drug suspects during a buy-bust operation at Purok Tugas, Barangay Ward 2, Minglanilla, Cebu last Tuesday evening.

The operation resulted in the arrest of Selfred Pojio Silva, alias “Odo”, 48, a resident of Purok Magbanwa, Barangay Polpogan 2, Consolacion, Cebu, and his companion Elmer Morales Bucog, 27, a resident of Purok Campo Drive, Barangay Inayawan, Cebu City.

Silva, a security guard, was identified as high-value individual while Bucog was considered a street level pusher. The two were arrested by the operatives of Station Drug Enforcement Unit of Minglanilla Police Station.

Recovered from Silva were three medium packs and five large sachets of shabu. The police also recovered another three pieces of medium packs of shabu from Bucog.

The suspects are now detained at the Minglanilla Police Station while charges are being prepared for filing against them at the prosecutor’s office. –/FPL (FREEMAN)
