MANILA, Philippines — The Creamline Cool Smashers made quick work of the Petro Gazz Angels in a rematch of the Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference Finals on Saturday.

In their first meeting with the Angels since losing Game Three of the Finals last conference, the Cool Smashers were simply clinical.

But when asked if the win against their tormentors in the import-laden conference meant more than others, Creamline skipper Alyssa Valdez waved it off.

"It's a different story kasi last conference, may mga katulong din tayong lahat. But a win is a win, and we take it one game at a time," Valdez said after the match.

Offensively, the Cool Smashers had imposed their will on the Angels, with Valdez and three other Creamline volleybelles finishing the game in double figures.

The dominant nature of the win, Valdez says, will only boost their confidence.

"If you're going to ask me kung mas okay ba sa amin 'tong panalo o kung anong makukuha namin dito, it's the confidence going through all the games," Valdez said.

"But at the end of the day our mentality is one game at a time. We consider each game very seriously kasi lahat talaga mahirap kalabanin," she added.

The Creamline Cool Smashers are at the top of the standings with an unblemished 5-0 record.

They hope to continue their winning ways when they face newcomer Choco Mucho on August 31.
