Gilas at PSA Forum
MANILA, Philippines — Gilas Pilipinas women’s team coach Pat Aquino takes the limelight in the weekly Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA) Forum Tuesday at the Amelie Hotel-Manila.
Aquino was gracious enough to grace the session presented by San Miguel Corp., Braska Restaurant, Amelie Hotel, and the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (PAGCOR) despite just coming fresh from the team’s campaign in the annual Jones Cup.
The champion coach is expected to talk about the team’s first ever stint in the cagefest hosted yearly by Chinese Taipei as well as its coming bid in the FIBA Women’s Asia Cup in India this September. The meet is the first qualification for FIBA Asia and FIBA Oceania for the women’s basketball tournament at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
