Jalalon posts first career triple-double in Magnolia’s win over Blackwater
MANILA, Philippines — Magnolia’s spitfire guard in Jio Jalalon has been in the league for nearly two seasons now, but it was only on Wedneday night the Hotshot was able to notch his first career triple-double.
Known as a dynamic guard with boundless motor during his time with Arellano University, Jalalon reached the career milestone by scattering 13 points, hauling down 12 rebounds, and dishing out 13 assists in the Hotshots’ whipping of the upstart Blackwater Elite at Cuneta Astrodome.
“Basta naglaro lang ako,” he said when asked of the personal feat.
Jalalon also shared that Marc Pingris, who is still recovering from a torn left ACL, was instrumental in achieving the triple-double.

Jalalon’s omnipresent performance helped Magnolia snare their fourth straight win in the Governors’ Cup since losing to Phoenix last September.
The Hotshots, now 6-2 and seats squarely on the second spot of the ladder, will face Alaska next. They tangle on October 14 at the Big Dome.
