Las Piñas derby finals under way
MANILA, Philippines — More than 100 participants gear up for a fierce battle as they dispute the crown in the LPC 38th anniversary six-stag derby today at Las Piñas Coliseum.
More than 90 fights are on tap in the three-stag finale with Onie Tan (Paningkamot Eros San Jose), Lito Guerra (Chocolate Farms), C. Ang (AA Vikings), Arman Santos (Jade Red LDI), Mayor Boyet Ynares (SJC Oct. 17), Joel Gabriel (Watik Watik) and Johnny Elorde (Elorde Nov. 19) leading the field.
Several participants will also field in straight six stags in the finals.
Meanwhile, other events on tap at the LPC are the four-stag derbies on Oct. 3 (Jessie Marquez), Oct. 10 (Alex Tobias) and Oct. 24 (Capt. Dennis Aguilar and Onie Tan).
The UMCGBA stag derby circuit starts at LPC on Oct. 17 (three-stag elims).
