MANILA, Philippines — Kenyan Jackson Chirchir and Jhoan Banayag-Villarm of Army ruled the men’s and women’s side of the 21K event in the 2018 Manila Bay Clean-Up Run recently.

Chirchir was joined by fellow Kenyans Joseph Mururi (second) and Alex Melly (third) in the men’s side while Maricar Camacho settled for second and Celma Hitalia third in the women’s category.

The other top three winners were:

10K – Richard Salaño, Jujet De Asis, Mark Anthony Oximar (men) and Cinderella Lorenzo, Luisa Raterta, Jhanice Tawagin (women); 

5K – Gilbert Rataquio, Evelou Abutas, Rowel Galvero (men) and Joida Gagnao, Joneza Sisituedo, Rishane Abellar (women);

3K – Aries Africa, Immuel Camino, Reynold Villaranca (men) and Jie Ann Calis, Lovelyn Pamatian, Feiza Lenton (women).

The event was presented by Manila Broadcasting Company and Star City in cooperation with the cities of Manila and Pasay, with support from Columbia International Food Products Inc., Steeltech Colored Roofing, Silka Papaya Soap and Lotion, Symdex-D, Kenny Rogers Roasters, Vital Purified Water, Shield Bath Soap, Unique Toothpaste and Tang.
