MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police will be working hand in hand again with the AFAD Defense and Sporting Arms Show to hold the PNP Firearms Caravan that will assist thousands of applicants for the License to Own and Possess Firearms (LTOPF), Provisional LTOPF, Firearms Registration, and Permit to Carry Firearms Outside of Residence (PTCFOR).

For the convenience of applicants, there will also be services of the Health Service’s neuro-psychiatric exam and interview, Directorate for Intelligence (DI) clearance, Crime Laboratory’s drug test clearance, PNP Finance Service, NBI clearance, notary public and residence certificate. For details, visit www.afad.ph for the complete list of requirements.

In addition, the AFAD is also working closely with the PNP to have LTOPF and Firearms Registration ID card printing at the show venue. To make your online account, visit www.feo-system.com.

AFAD said that only those with valid LTOPF can bring home their new firearms after completion of the firearm registration processing.

The 48-hour processing for new firearms is part of the 26th AFAD DSAS set July 12-16 at SM Megamall in Mandaluyong.

World shoot champ Jethro Dionisio, president of the organizing Association of Firearms and Ammunition Dealers of the Philippines, Inc., said AFAD exhibitors will also launch their latest array of firearms, ammunition and shooting paraphernalia.

Aside from free seminars on responsible firearm ownership, firearms safety handling, and martial arts, the AFAD DSAS has also lined up a number of activities, including daily raffle of P10,000 worth of gift certificates and other prizes.
